Thriller History

The definition of a thriller is that they are psychologically made to make the audience think about what is happening and how it is happening. Thriller films contains less gore and violence then horrors, thriller films keeps you on the edge of your seat and your heart racing as you watch on. The location of a thriller film is vital to help create the feel of the film as well as visual elements, costumes and props, events throughout and the actually characters persona.

Alfred Hitchcock is an iconic film maker of the thriller genre. Alfred made silent films as well as talking ones. He pioneered techniques such as suspense and psychological thriller genres. Alfred liked to use the theme of a icy blond getting punished or murdered for breaking social rules. Alfred made his first film in 1919 called Gas but his most famous films where vertigo (1958), north by northwest (1959) and 39 steps (1935).
