Sterotypes of males and females differ in TV dramas. Males are mostly shown as strong and powerful and women as needing to be protected and inferior. But in some dramas writers use archetypes to show strong similarities between males and females.
In a TV drama like Primeval the men and women fighting against the animals from the past and future are very similar. They are all powerful and brave like men and parts so there vunerable and fear when come face to face with the animals.
All the men and women carry guns and weapons to use against the animals. This shows they are a threat and are prepared to fight back and use them to there advantages. Gaining power on there oponent.
This takes the normal sterotypes of males and females and shows how similar they are by both being strong and determine to get the job done. As well as how similar they can be by working together with the same opotunities and weapons provided.

Evaluation module 1
1. Complete - do we know who did what?
I think we did this well as we wrote who did what on out group blog. I think that we achieved level 3 on this part.
2. Useful research and demonstrate learning or just copying?
I think we achieved level 2 on this part as out information is in depth but some is copied and may not of been totally understood.
3. Care/Creativity in presentation
I think we achieved level 2 on this as we had the information up but not in a very eye catching visual way. Need more videos and pictures on the blog.
4. Time management does it look like 4hrs per student per week for 5 weeks?
I think we achieved level 2 on this part as most of the blog was complete apart from a few little bits. But i don't think it looks like 4hr per week for 5 weeks.
What i need to improve?
I think to proceed to the next level i need to keep up to date with the work and make information on the blog more visual and easy to understand.
What have i done well?
I think out preliminary task was good as it was created on final cut which we only learnt to use during the first couple of weeks in lesson. Creating a blog and learning different aspects of how to create films.
Overall i would give myself an 11/20 putting me on a high level 2.

6 ways to kill your husband
A woman just married is deeply in love with new husband but before long there marriage turn bad. Her life is turned upside down as she finds out shes not the one only hes married too. She teams up with his other wives to get him back. They plan 6 ways to get him back all ending in death for him. 5 of the plans hurts and destroys him emotionally but does not end in death. As they try the 6th and final plan all is to play for.
Thriller Plot
A days events changes the life of four girls forever. A mystery man approaches them and asks for the time they reply with 12:52 and he replies there is only a matter of time. Once he has moved one they girls realise the have seen him before, watching, waiting and following them. The mystery and suspense rises as the man becomes a fixed point in there lives and the words only a matter of time keeps getting repeated by why?
Thriller Films
During the 1920's to 1940's there where three major film makers in the thriller genre. The first Alfred Hitchcock, the second Fritz Lang and the third George Cukor.
Alfred Hitchcock
Hitchcock helped to shape the modern day thriller genre with his silent film The Lodger in 1926. This film was a suspenseful jack the ripper film. Hitchcock continued to perfect his recognisable brand of the suspense-thriller throughout the early thriller time releasing Blackmail 1929, 39 steps in 1935 and Foreign Correspondent in 1940 as well as many more.
Fritz Lang
Lang directed the film German film M, in 1931 which was based on a serial killer. The main character being a criminal deviant using the thriller genre to create suspense and shock throughout his film.
George Cukor
Cukor made a pscyological thriller Gas light in 1944 whic was about a scheming husband plotting to make his innocent young wife go insane in order for him to acquire her inheritance. The thriller genre helped to create suspence and shock at the plot of the film and throughout.

Thriller films contains less gore and violence then horrors, thriller films keeps you on the edge of your seat and your heart racing as you watch on.
