my script for question 1

sound and foley
we used digetic sounds within our film to help create suspense, mood and it helps to move the story line along we created our own soundtrack so we could design it speficically to our film.

setting and location
we used a isolated car park in the late afternoon in the winter as this gave us the correct lighting for our thriller opening as there was very little lights around apart from a few street lights. this location was isolated so we didnt get interupted by passers by or cars or them getting in our shots.

story and how the opening sets it up
the opening of the story is where the secertary (also the mans lover) gets run over by the mans fiance unknowing who she is at this point. it is soon discovered when the fiance rumages through the secertarys belongings and finds a picture of them together. the fiance then follows this shock by putting the secertay into the boot of her car and drives off. which leads into the title sequence which shouws the secertary tied up and a ransom note being sent to the man which is then introduced to the viewers as Sefan.

my script for question 7 - progression

soundtrack
In our prelinimary task we did not create our own soundtrack or add in foley where as in our final film we did. for our final film we created our own soundtrack and foley to add in to the opening to help create suspense and mood of the film.

props
we did not bring/use the correct props for our prelimnimary sequence as we did dont decide on an excat day to film it or what props we needed. where as for our final opening we prepared better and knew what props we needed and when we needed to bring them to set.

storyline
for the prelinimary task we were given a title and we had to create a short storyline and scene for it which we didnt spend to much time on. but for our final opening we sat down and created a script which was developed into the final one over time.

my script response to question 6 - technologies

This is my script for question 6 technologies

As a group we were not confident with using the cameras, final cut and garageband, as we have never used them before for filming.

We used garageband to create a soundtrack which was suitable for the opening of our thriller film, we then added our foley into it creating a believable track for our opening piece which would help to create the mood and atmosphere of a thriller.

We have used blogger throughout the process of creating our thriller opening, we have updated it with the ideas that we started with and how they progressed to the final film.

Our finished thriller opening has been posted on to many social networking sites such as youtube, facebook and twitter. We asked for feedback with thoughts and opinions on our final edit.

From beginning to end we have learnt to use garageband to create a suitable soundtrack for our film by experimenting with different sounds and effects to portray the best thriller genre.

individual editing of thriller heartbreak

16th january 2012
This is the first screen shot i took of my individual thriller edit. I am editing the thriller on final cut. In this lesson I have started editing the beginning of the opening. After we batch catched the pieces of the film we could use in the opening. I think the shots we filmed on the sunday were all usable and the lighting was good on lots of them. It will be good to piece them all together to create the story we planned.

Remake of footloose

On this remake i did some of the camera work and my feet were also feature in the opening. I really enjoyed being able to use the camera and get to learn how to use it better. I think the end product turned out really well and doesnt look to different to the orginal apart from a few different types of shoes.

25 word treatment

Opening of the Thriller:
A women smartly dressed walking to her car gets run over by accident and once the women gets out of her car her worst nightmare becomes a reality when she discovers a picture of the women she has just run over with her husband. She then has to make the decision whether to leave the injured women or do the right thing and help her.
