Enemy of the State

The theme of the film is thriller and sets the opening the film with a mystery. In the opening you see CCTV of a blurry car chase, as well as the setting of monuments and top secret surveillance. The audience knows from here it is to do with surveillance as their is a lot of tracking themes and telephones. The dark costumes the characters are wearing brings a theme of threat, power and mystery. The contrast between the people is shown in costumes by the bad people wearing black and the good people wearing white. The 'bad men' are wearing gloves as they proceed to kill the 'good guy' with a needle. Once they had killed him they put him back in to his car and made it look like he committed suicide by using props like pills and his dog, before pushing the car into the lake. The music throughout this opening is tense with a strong beat creating the ultimate thriller theme.
